Hemp Good for Dogs?

Believe it or not, hemp can be good for your dog. As a nutritional supplement, hemp oil is good for dogs for several reasons. Hemp oil has a high level of Linoleic acid, higher than flax seed and about equal to that of corn oil. Linoleic acid promotes the integrity of the cell membranes that promote healthy skin and hair.

Hemp is also great for dog toys. Hemp requires no pesticides or herbicides when growing making it both environmentally friendly but also safer for your dog when playing.

The concern for many in buying Hemp products is they feel hemp and marijuana are the same thing, however, that is not the case. The difference between hemp and marijuana is the amount of THC it has. Hemp has less than 0.3 marijuana has anywhere between 1 and 20 % THC – the psychoactive substance that cause the “high” when used for recreational use. You cannot get “high” from industrial hemp.

Here is just one of the great dog toys made from natural hemp that your dog will enjoy.
