  1. My dog recently had a littler. The runt, who was just too darned cute for words, was a natural for toss and fetch. He actually started it by bringing his toys to where ever I might be and leaving them in a pile. I tripped over the pile one day and kicked the ball out of frustration. I swear, that dog laughed. And of course, he went and got it and brought it back to me. I had no idea a puppy barely 8 weeks old would be playing like that.

  2. Dogs are not much less than little children running around in circles and playing with toys, seeking our attention and approval. Of course they like their toys.

  3. We just got an 8 week old puppy and noisy toys scare her right now. Maybe when she gets a little older we'll try them again. Our last dog was a hoot to watch when he got ahold of squeaky toys, he really knew what to do with them.

  4. Our dog has never cared much for toys that squeak. He would much rather have a big chew toy or a rawhide bone. He'll chase a ball occasionally, if he's in the mood. He's never been an overactive dog, even when he was a pup.

  5. Dogs are curious, same as cats, like toys that make squeaky noises. It just puts them in a playful mood. Like kids, they get tired of the same toys all the time, so I switch them out every so often, same as I did with the kids.
