Get Rid of Old Dog Toys

With the current economy you may be trying to save money. You know your dog’s toys are getting worn out and old. You may think your dog will not choke on his old dog toys, but accidents do happen.

If your dog has old toys that are ripped or falling apart, please throw them out. Even if one of the old dog toys is your dog’s favorite dog toy, it may harm him. You do not want to end up taking your dog to the vet emergency room and spending hundreds of dollars to save your dog. Not to mention the heartbreak you will feel if your dog has to undergo surgery…or worse. You will have painful guilt on something so easy that could have been prevented.

If the squeaky part of the dog toy is seen through a hole in the toy, please throw out the dog toy as it is an accident waiting to happen.

To figure out if you should throw out the old dog toy, think of it as if your dog is a two year old child. Would the two year old child be able to safely play with the toy? If the answer is “no” then it is time to throw out the old dog toy.

There are many dog toys that are inexpensive. You could buy one dog toy for your dog at this time. Maybe ask for dog toys for a Christmas gift. You can find plush dog toys, chewy dog toys, etc. There is sure to be a new and safe dog toy you can give your beloved dog.
