More Interesting Dog Facts






What is the shape of your dog’s face? Did you know that the shape of a dog’s face suggests how long it will live. For instance, if you have a dog with a sharp, pointed face that look more like wolves typically live longer. If your dog has a very flat face, such as a bulldog, often have shorter lives.

If you were born under the sign of the dog it is thought in Chinese astrology that you are considered to be loyal and discreet, though slightly temperamental.

During the Middle Ages, mixed breeds of peasants’ dogs were required to wear blocks around their necks. Strange? Yes. The reason this was done was to keep them from breeding with noble hunting dogs. Why? Because purebred dogs were very expensive and hunting became the province of the rich.
